This bit has a limited impact on the mouth, poll, and lower jaw due to the use of a curb chain. The leverage effect is focused on the lower jaw instead of the poll, and the variable rein options allow for adjustment of the leverage effect on the poll. It is suitable for strong horses and includes bit guards to protect the lips.
